Our Eco ideas
The Humberston Eco Conservation Centre is aware of the dangers of Climate Change, and we know that our journey towards sustainability is not an easy one. Nevertheless, we are committed to finding innovative ways to lead the way towards a more sustainable future.
Our goal is to showcase to the local communities and future generations what can be achieved through innovative ideas. We have a small AD unit on our Eco site, which we plan to use to convert plastic waste into usable feedstock using smart technology.
In addition, we are excited to announce that we will soon be receiving two Aquaponic teaching aids, developed by our trustees. Our Aquatrainers will demonstrate how fish and plants can work together in perfect harmony, using waste from one entity to benefit another, creating a truly circular economy.
We are proud to be associated with the Lincolnshire Wildlife Watch group, who meet on our site each month to provide fun nature activities for children. We also collaborate with local schools and organizations to provide education and learning days.
